H. Yoland Cintron'
Senior Consultant - Business Continuity Management

As a Senior Consultant for The Courton Group, Yolanda Cintron consults on a variety of risk management, business process, and business continuity issues. She has worked with many companies in the financial services industry including major brokerage houses, and banks.

Ms. Cintron has over 18 years in the business continuity management field focusing on the financial services sector. Prior to joining TCG as a consultant, Ms. Cintron worked as an employee at several of the nations’ largest banks and brokerage firms.
                                                                         
As a Senior Vice President/Project Manager for Continuity of Business at Citigroup, Ms Cintron coordinated the  Continuity of Business (COB) program for the Finance Division (900+ staff). She certified the COB program’s compliance with corporate policies and standards, and business activities were properly monitored as per governance policy.  She managed four COB direct reports and directed the consolidation of 52 LDRPS plans into 16 comprehensive plans.

As an Associate/Manager of business continuity at JP MORGAN CHASE, Ms. Cintron partnered with businesses units to develop and maintain detailed plans addressing unique recovery requirements within the organization. She facilitated validation of plans through test exercises conducted at designated recovery sites. She performed project management and maintained scorecards created to report to Division and Risk Resiliency Recovery Management.  

While an Assistant Vice President at Merrill Lynch, Ms. Cintron analyzed and implemented technology disaster recovery solutions for business units. Ensured adherence to continuity policies to determine best practices and standards set forth by the industry and the firm. Was trained on LDRPS and used the software system to create and maintain continuity plans for her assigned business units. Monitored global firm-wide Y2K recovery project, ensuring proper functionality of hundreds of applications and business processes in the event of interruption.

While at Shearman & Sterling, Ms Cintron was solely responsible for the Business Continuity program. She collaborated with LAN Administrators and Office Managers to create global disaster plans for fourteen international & domestic offices.  She managed alternate site vendor relationship; negotiated and upgraded year-end contracts to meet business requirements for cost effective recovery strategies. She established information security policies for firm-wide user community

 Ms. Cintron began her career in business continuity planning at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she conducted business impact analysis.  Performed annual maintenance of plans, document control, and distribution.  Participated in annual awareness program.  Participated in the implementation and user acceptance testing phases of the LDRPS software. Created training curriculum and instructed employees on Lotus CC:Mail

Prior to becoming a planner she worked at Computer Sciences Corp as a junior programmer and held a Top Secret security clearance.

Ms. Cintron was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1982 with the rank of Specialist5 where she was awarded the ARCOM (Army Commendation Medal).

Ms. Cintron earned her AS in Computer Management from the University of Maryland. She maintains the CBCP certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International.

She is a member of the New York based Contingency Planning Exchange.
